Lucyd Builder Program Terms

Version 1.0 · effective October 23, 2026

In short

  • The Program is for bots, terminals, apps and wallets that send their users' orders to the Lucyd order book.
  • You earn a share of your users' taker volume. Lucyd pays it from its own revenue; your users pay nothing extra to Lucyd.
  • A trade counts only if your salt prefix is in the taker's order. If the taker is already linked to a Lucyd partner, the partner gets the reward instead.
  • No self-trading, affiliated wallets, wash trading or faked volume. If you break the rules, we can stop your participation and cancel unpaid rewards.
  • You alone are responsible for your product, your users and the laws that apply to them.
  • Lucyd is in testnet. Rewards are currently paid in test tokens with no monetary value.

1. About these Terms

1.1. These Terms govern the Lucyd Builder Program (the "Program"). "Lucyd", "we" and "us" mean the team that develops and operates the Lucyd platform at lucyd.trade and testnet.lucyd.trade. "You" means the person or team that applies to the Program or takes part in it. Your "Product" means the bot, terminal, app, wallet or other software that you register in the Program.

1.2. Lucyd isn't currently operated through an incorporated legal entity. If we form one or transfer the platform to one, we may assign these Terms and the Program to it without your further consent. You'll be notified of any such assignment.

1.3. You accept these Terms by submitting a builder application or by placing orders with your salt prefix. If you don't agree, don't apply and don't use the prefix.

2. Eligibility and Restricted Jurisdictions

2.1. To take part, you must:

  • be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that's higher;
  • have the legal capacity to accept these Terms, and the authority to accept them on behalf of your team or company if you apply for one;
  • not be a resident of a Restricted Jurisdiction, and not be located in one.

2.2. Restricted Jurisdictions are the same as in the Lucyd Partner Program Terms, section 2.3, as updated from time to time.

2.3. You must not offer trading on Lucyd through your Product to people who are located in, or resident in, a Restricted Jurisdiction, or market that feature to them. You must not tell users how to get around geographic restrictions, for example with a VPN. After a change to the list, you must comply for newly added jurisdictions within 7 days.

3. Your Product and your responsibility

3.1. Your Product is yours. You alone are responsible for how it works, for its security, for the keys and funds it handles, and for what it shows and promises to your users. Lucyd doesn't review, endorse or guarantee your Product.

3.2. You must check and comply with the laws that apply to you, your Product and your users. That includes rules on financial services, derivatives, gambling, crypto-assets, consumer protection, data protection, advertising, tax and sanctions. We give no legal, tax or regulatory advice.

3.3. Your Product must not present itself as Lucyd, as an official Lucyd product, or as operated or endorsed by Lucyd. You may say that your Product trades on Lucyd.

3.4. Lucyd adds no fee for orders sent through your Product. If you charge your users anything yourself, you must disclose it to them clearly and you're solely responsible for it.

3.5. You must use the Lucyd API and order book within their published limits, and you must not interfere with the platform or with other users.

4. How the Program works

4.1. Application. You apply through the Builders page. We may accept or reject any application at our sole discretion and without giving a reason.

4.2. Salt prefix. Once you're approved, you get a builder code and a salt prefix. You put the prefix at the start of the salt of each order your Product sends; the remaining bytes must be random. Keep the order otherwise unchanged.

4.3. Which trades count. A trade counts for you only if:

  • your salt prefix is in the taker's order; trades where it's only in the maker's order don't count;
  • the taker is not you, meaning not your payout wallet;
  • the taker isn't already linked to a Lucyd partner. Such a trade counts for the partner, and you get nothing for it.

Each trade earns at most one reward. Trades without a prefix count for nobody. A user who has traded through a builder will not later be linked to a partner.

4.4. Rewards. You earn a percentage of the USDC volume of the takers' side of counted trades. The current rates and volume tiers are published on the Builders page and form part of these Terms. They're the same as in the Partner Program. Rate changes apply only to days after the change.

4.5. Payouts. Rewards are calculated for each closed UTC day. They're paid automatically by the Lucyd PartnerProgram smart contract to the wallet you applied with once your balance reaches the minimum payout, currently 10 USDC. The on-chain record of the contract is the final record of what was paid. A payout may be delayed if the contract is short of funds. Counted trades and payouts can be checked on chain and in the public daily reports.

4.6. Testnet. Lucyd currently runs on a test network. Until we announce otherwise, rewards are paid in test tokens that have no monetary value and can't be exchanged for money. Nothing in these Terms is a promise of future payments in tokens that have real value. Any rewards on mainnet will be governed by updated Terms.

4.7. Leaderboard. Your Product's name, type, link and stats may be shown in the public builder leaderboard. You can hide it there at any time.

5. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • trade with yourself or with wallets you control or that are connected to you, to generate rewards;
  • wash trade, fake volume, or split or loop orders to inflate counted volume;
  • put your prefix into orders that weren't sent by your Product's users through your Product, or share your prefix with others;
  • use the prefix of another builder;
  • pay or reward users for trading in a way meant mainly to generate builder rewards;
  • break the published API limits or try to manipulate markets on Lucyd.

6. Independent status and taxes

6.1. You take part as an independent party. You're not our employee, agent, representative or joint-venture partner. You can't make statements or commitments on our behalf.

6.2. You're solely responsible for declaring and paying any taxes, duties and fees that apply to your rewards.

7. Suspension, withholding and termination

7.1. If we reasonably believe you've breached these Terms or applicable law, or have taken part in fraud or manipulation, we may, without prior notice:

  • suspend your participation;
  • remove your Product from the leaderboard;
  • withhold or cancel rewards that haven't been paid yet;
  • terminate your participation.

7.2. You may leave the Program at any time by contacting us or by no longer using your prefix. Rewards for days that closed before you left will be paid under section 4. That doesn't apply if section 7.1 applies.

7.3. We may change, suspend or close the Program at any time. That includes moving it to mainnet or changing rates, tiers, the prefix format or rules. Sections 3, 6, 8 and 9 continue to apply after your participation ends.

8. Disclaimers and liability

8.1. The Program, the Lucyd platform and its API are provided "as is" and "as available". Lucyd is experimental software that runs on public blockchains and smart contracts. It may contain errors, change without notice, stop working, or lose data.

8.2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses, lost profits, or losses caused by blockchain networks, wallets, smart contracts, your Product or third-party services. Our total liability to you under these Terms is limited to the rewards actually paid to you in the 3 months before the claim.

8.3. You agree to cover and hold us harmless from claims, fines and losses that arise from your Product, from your users' use of it, or from your breach of these Terms or of the law.

9. Changes, disputes and contact

9.1. We may update these Terms. The current version and its effective date are always on this page. Material changes will be announced on the Builders page. You'll have to accept them to keep earning rewards.

9.2. We'll first try to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation. Governing law and the forum for disputes will be set out in the Terms once a Lucyd legal entity is formed. Until then, disputes are settled by negotiation.

9.3. Contact: info@lucyd.trade.
